Creative Science Summer Camp – Terms & Conditions (Austria) 

Organizer 

creativescience.at (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”) provides a day-based summer camp program in Austria for children. The camp operates without overnight accommodation and is conducted in English.

1. Registration and Contract Formation

Enrollment in the camp constitutes a binding agreement between the parent or legal guardian and the Organizer. A contract is formed upon submission of the registration form, and confirmation by the Organizer. The Organizer reserves the right to reject any application without stating reasons.

2. Service
Creative Science provides summer camps in Vienna for children aged 7–14, as described on the Organizer’s website (www.creativescience.at), which forms an integral part of this agreement.

3. Booking & Payment
A booking is confirmed upon successful payment via eventjet.at. All prices are in EUR and include VAT. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Bookings are non-transferable unless otherwise agreed by the Organizer.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing.

Refund policy:

• Full refund: cancellation up to 30 days before the start date

• Partial refund (50% of the full price): cancellation up to 7 days before the start date

• No refund: within 7 days before the start date and during the camp

The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the camp due to:

• insufficient number of participants (minimum 10 participants), or force majeure events.

In such cases, paid fees will be refunded. Any transaction costs may be excluded.
  

5. Program Changes & Force Majeure
The Organizer may make reasonable changes to the program, schedule, or location.
No liability is assumed for events beyond reasonable control (e.g. weather, illness, government restrictions, force majeure).

6. Supervision Duty

The Organizer assumes a duty of supervision over participating children exclusively during official camp hours, and within the designated camp premises. Parents/guardians remain responsible before drop-off and after pick-up, and for ensuring punctual arrival and collection. Children may only leave the premises with authorized persons, or with prior written parental consent.

7. Participation & Responsibility

Participants are expected to follow the instructions of staff, and respect other participants and property. The Organizer reserves the right to exclude a child from the program in cases of serious misconduct, or behavior that endangers others.

In such cases, no refund shall be granted.

8. Health and Safety

Parents/guardians must disclose all relevant medical information, including but not limited to: allergies, chronic conditions, medications. At least one emergency contact must be provided and be reachable during camp hours. The Organizer is not a medical provider, and administers medication only with explicit written consent. In case of emergency, the Organizer is authorized to seek medical assistance, and contact emergency services. All reasonable safety measures in accordance with applicable Austrian standards shall be applied.

9. Liability
Participation is at the participant’s own risk. The Organizer is liable only for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, to the extent permitted by law. The Organizer assumes no liability for: loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. Parents/guardians are liable for damages caused by their child in accordance with applicable Austrian law.

10. Insurance

Participants must have valid health insurance. Private liability insurance is strongly recommended. The Organizer does not provide individual insurance coverage.

11. Data Protection (GDPR Compliance)

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data is collected for administration of the camp, emergency contact purposes, and compliance with legal obligations. Photos and videos may only be taken and used with explicit prior consent.

12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed by Austrian law. The competent court at the Organizer’s registered seat shall have jurisdiction.
